Mahindra Nuvo Sport, the sub-compact SUV, was the carmaker’s first sub-4 metre car in India. Based on the same design platform as the new Mahindra Scorpio, this SUV got a more beefy and upright front end with some major style additions like DRLs, new headlamps, redesigned grille, and a new front bumper that lends it a more appealing and SUV like stance. It comes with a wheelbase of 2760mm and a ground clearance of 180mm. on the other hand the Maruti Vitara Brezza looks more proportionate and stylish. It offers dual tone body colour option with projector lamps, guide lights, and better style cues. It comes with very compact dimensions, with the wheelbase being measured at 2500mm and higher ground clearance of 198mm.
When it comes to features, the Mahindra Nuvo Sport flaunts a well-designed cabin with upholstery of decent quality, a well laid out dashboard with a multi-functional steering in the top-of-the line variants along with an infotainment system. It is also the only other SUV besides the TUV 300 that comes with a 7-seater setting.
If you are looking for upmarket features including a touchscreen infotainment system with Smart Play and Apple Car Play with navigation, keyless entry with push button start, cruise control, cooled upper glovebox, sliding front armrest and a reverse parking camera, the Maruti Brezza is a wonderful choice! As far as safety is concerned, the car is equipped with a driver side as standard, including front passenger airbags and ABS with EBD as an option even on base variants.
Talking about the engine, the Mahindra Nuvo Sport is powered by 1.5 litre diesel engine. An AMT gearbox is a major addition to the drivetrain. Transmission options will also include a 5 speed manual gearbox. If you want to go for Maruti Vitara Brezza, you will be at a pretty advantageous position as it is powered by a single 1.3 litre DDiS diesel engine that produces a maximum of 88.5 bhp and a peak torque of 200Nm. A 5 speed manual gearbox will perform transmission duties.
The last half a decade or so has witnessed the rising popularity of the sub-4 SUV class of cars. The appeal f an SUV, coupled with sporting dimensions give them an edge.
