Tata Zest AMT

The Tata Zest was first showcased just before the Auto Expo, and was released in the middle of 2014 in five diesel and four petrol models. It features a very similar look to that of the hatchback but includes a distinct but quite decent looking boot. It makes use of the same engine, machinery, interior design as well as feature list from the hatchback.

Tata Zest

As mentioned before, the Tata Zest shares the same design and style as the Bolt hatchback from Tata. At the rear end, the lights bear a similar design to that of the hatch back. All models come with alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers and chrome inserts for a premium look. The top trim gets chrome accented fog lights, LED daytime running lights and LED guide rings on the head lamps. The interiors are same as the hatchback including the overall layout, features and upholstery.

The list of features is long with the top model coming with a touch screen infotainment system by Harman for Tata. Talking about engines, Tata will offer the Zest with the 1.2 litre Revotron engine which is driven by petrol and produces 84bhp and 140Nm max torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is the 1.3 litre Quadrajet motor. Transmission options for this compact sedan include a five speed manual as well as an AMT unit which is a first in this class being offered by Tata.
