Compare Cars - Maruti Suzuki Dzire AGS vs Tata Zest AMT
Although the face lifted version of the 2015 Maruti Swift Dzire is very familiar in the Indian car industry for quite a while now, it still rules the road when it comes to compact sedan segment of cars.

The overall design of the new Dzire is very impressive with stunning exterior and luxurious interiors offering a classy look to the cabin. All the features that you would like for a convenient and joyful drive are now there in the new Swift Dzire. Coming to the upgrades made to the exterior, the new face lifted model of Swift Dzire has been given bumpers with a refreshed look, upgraded radiator grille, new and redesigned alloy wheels and revamped fog lamps.
The new Swift Dzire comes with a 5 speed manual transmission system as well as a 4 speed automatic transmission system in the petrol model, which have contributed to this model in becoming one of the most fuel efficient sedans in India. To ensure safety, the new Swift Dzire comes equipped with two driver and front passenger airbags in the higher trims, along with ABS and EBD. The petrol model of the new Swift Dzire is priced at 5.08 lakh for the base model and goes up to 6.81 lakh for the top one, while that for the diesel car starts at 6.0 lakh going up to 7.82 lakh.
Tata Zest AMT
The Tata Zest was first showcased just before the Auto Expo, and was released in the middle of 2014 in five diesel and four petrol models. It features a very similar look to that of the hatchback but includes a distinct but quite decent looking boot. It makes use of the same engine, machinery, interior design as well as feature list from the hatchback.
As mentioned before, the Tata Zest shares the same design and style as the Bolt hatchback from Tata. At the rear end, the lights bear a similar design to that of the hatch back. All models come with alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers and chrome inserts for a premium look. The top trim gets chrome accented fog lights, LED daytime running lights and LED guide rings on the head lamps. The interiors are same as the hatchback including the overall layout, features and upholstery.
The list of features is long with the top model coming with a touch screen infotainment system by Harman for Tata. Talking about engines, Tata will offer the Zest with the 1.2 litre Revotron engine which is driven by petrol and produces 84bhp and 140Nm max torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is the 1.3 litre Quadrajet motor. Transmission options for this compact sedan include a five speed manual as well as an AMT unit which is a first in this class being offered by Tata.
