The Elite i20 is available in both of petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2 litre Kappa dual VTVT engine, which has got a displacement capacity of 1197 cc and delivers an output of 81.8 bhp at 6000 rpm and torque of 114 Nm at 4000rpm and comes mated to a 5 speed manual transmission system. On the other hand, the diesel variant comes loaded with a 4 cylinder 1.4 litre U2 CRDi motor, with displacement capacity of 1396cc.

This engine produces a maximum power of 88.7 bhp at 4000 rpm in and max torque of 220 Nm at 1500 -2750 rpm and it is coupled with a 6 speed manual transmission that helps to maximize its fuel efficiency and performance. The Elite i20 offers the best fuel efficiency in its class. The petrol variant offers mileage of 18.60 kmpl while the diesel version delivers 22.54 kmpl.
