MFC buying guide - Hyundai Grand i10
South Korean auto maker Hyundai has already declared that the company would be marking off its 20th anniversary in the Indian car industry with the release of its two anniversary versions of Hyundai Xcent and Grand i10. The Hyundai Grand i10 20th Anniversary Edition has been introduced to celebrate Hyundai’s two highly successful decades of operation in the Indian subcontinent. The Grand i10, which is the highest selling car of the company, was launched back in 2013 in India and is likely to receive a face lift in 2017.

This anniversary special version of the Grand i10 is going to be available only in the mid level trim that is SportZ. This special edition of the Grand i10 will come with the options of both petrol and diesel variants.

Based on the mid level model, the new model of the Grand i10 will remain the same as the present model in terms of mechanical aspects and will still be powered by the 1.2 litre Kappa petrol unit that can offer 82bhp of output and 116 Nm of peak torque and a 1.1 litre three cylinder U2 VGT diesel motor that produces 70bhp output and 163 Nm of peak torque.

The petrol version comes coupled with a 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic transmission whereas the diesel model is connected to a 5 speed manual gearbox. In terms of fuel economy, the petrol version delivers 18.9 kmpl of mileage and 16.95 kmpl for manual and automatic versions while the diesel model offers mileage of 24 kmpl.

In terms of dimensions, the anniversary special version has been kept the same as the usual model that is now on sale, with length of 3765 mm, width of 1493 mm and height of 1520 mm.

The wheel base of this car is of 2425 mm. In addition to these things, other features that are expected to be included in the anniversary special variant of this car include a rear spoiler that is mounted on the roof and comes integrated with brake lights.

Stepping into the cabin, the special edition of the Grand i10 has been given red and black dual tone interiors with an impressive 6.2 inch touch screen infotainment system and graphics on the side of the body. Media reports say that the delivery of this special version of the Grand i10 is being promised within 10 days of booking.
