Maruti S-Cross Facelift

There are certain cosmetic and mechanical changes that have been given to this face lifted model. The upgraded model of the S-Cross will come with a new front radiator grille with vertical slats and restyled front fascia. Maruti Suzuki is upgrading this crossover car and it gets several major updates on the outside as well. These are mostly cosmetic upgrades. The new radiator grille and the head lights make the S-Cross look a lot different from the other cars of this car maker. This is the first time that we will see vertical slats on a front grille. There are no major changes on the interiors of the S-Cross facelift. It will be given the same steering wheel, with the touch screen infotainment system.

The instrument panel will come with a new multi-information display and then there are some more upgrades in the upholstery too. The new version of the S-Cross will come with some additional features like seat heating also. From the spy shots that we could see, there is not much of a difference. While this car will receive minor tweaks on the inside, there will be no major change in the overall styling.

The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross will be driven by 1.6 litre and 1.3 litre diesel engines. The face lifted version will be first seen in the European market sometime during next year and it will hit the shores of India not before 2017. The S-Cross in India will be given a generous touch of chrome on it and the interiors will be kept fairly similar to the car in the images and the Indian S-Cross. A new BoosterJet engine will be offered for the European market. A 1.4 litre petrol engine will be driving the S-Cross. This will be a powerful petrol unit and will be strong enough to compete with the 1.6 litre diesel engine in terms of performance at a more affordable cost.

The S-Cross facelifted model is priced at INR 9.5 lakhs (on-road) for the base trim and this shoots up to INR 13.5 lakhs. This crossover model will be launched in the car market of India by mid 2017 or towards the end of 2017, it will not be arriving here anytime sooner than that.
