All you need to know about the all new Tata Tigor

Tata motors launched have its new car variant called Tata Tigor in March 2017. The car is a sub compact sedan and looks similar to the other variant of Tata Zica. In terms of design Tata claims it to have its own signature style called notch back that has a very distinct angle of the C-pillar. Tata Tigor comes in 8 different variants with 2 engine and 1 transmission and 2 fuel options. The petrol engine for the Tigor is a 1.2-litre Revotron motor that produces 84bhp/140Nm of torque. The diesel engine on the other hand is a 1.0-litre turbo three-cylinder unit that produces 69bhp/140Nm of torque. Both engines are fitted with a five speed manual transmission and claims a mileage of 20.3 Km/l for the petrol variant and 24.37 Km/l for the diesel variant. The car however lacks any AMT variants as of now and the engine may seem inadequate.

The dimensions of the car measure to be 3992 mm in length, 1677 mm in width, 1537 mm in height and come with a ground clearance of 170 mm and wheelbase of 2450mm. A decent boot size of 419 liter is fitted in the car for those long drives with your family. The sub 4-metre proportions are almost coupe like with its sloping roofline and well designed tail section and the petrol variant with the 15-inch wheels looks the most appealing. The rear seating is spacious in terms of shoulder room and leg room although taller passengers might have slightly less headroom due to the sloping roofline. The diesel variants on the other hand get only 14-inch alloy wheels on the top of the line car. Design elements include a grey and black dashboard with grey seats, colour inserts for the aircon vents, 2-DIN music system, climate control and steering mounted audio controls.

On the inside, the Tigor is well designed and well made with good quality plastics and fabrics. Tata Tigor is in colors like Copper Dazzle, Berry Red, Striker Blue, Platinum Silver, Pearlescent White and Espresso Brown. Tata will be generous with the space inside the vehicle and will also give comfortable additions like armrest for the rear passengers.
