Mahindra KUV100 starts Exporting
With the KUV100, Mahindra has offered a package for the city roads targeted for the urban youth that is not only loaded with features, but has been endowed with good looks and also offers great value for money. Limited production and overwhelming market demand has led to long waiting queues for this car in India. Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd has planned to address this situation by increasing the production capacity of the KUV100 to 8,500 units per month from the present 5500 units, during the following months.
The KUV100 is the first utility vehicle in petrol variant from the house of Mahindra and it is considered to be an important product for both the overseas as well as domestic car markets. Mahindra, known and trusted as utility vehicle manufacturers, has started shipping this compact SUV model to right-hand-drive car markets like Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and South Africa. The car manufacturer has already exported more than 400 units of the KUV100 so far. The primary focus of this company is the neighboring countries of India and right-hand driven markets. According to Mahindra, they may also start to export this car to the Middle Eastern countries and South Asian markets too. As of now, 400 units of the KUV100 have been shipped from the Mumbai out of which 220 units have already traveled only to South Africa during April. At present 14,210 units of the Mahindra KUV100 are launched on the Indian roads. Mahindra also expects a steady climb in numbers since this is the second model with highest sales for Mahindra during the last month after the Bolero. After this vehicle was unveiled in November 2015, its bookings have reportedly crossed 37,000 units.

The increasing demand for micro SUVs and compact SUVs in the domestic car market has given rise to the competition among car manufacturers.
