Maruti Swift DLX special edition launched at INR 4.54 lakh
Maruti has released a new DLX version of their ever popular Swift hatchback. This hugely favourite hatchback vehicle has lost some of its potential buyers after the launch of the new Baleno. Hence, a boost to the sales of this car could work well. Maruti Swift DLX has been made based on the existing LXi/LDi trims and comes with an introductory price of INR 4.54 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Maruti Swift DLX edition has also been loaded with some additional features and a slight price hike over the standard model of the car. The new DLX version will help the Swift to continue in its leading position better.
Maruti Swift DLX Special Edition
The Maruti Suzuki Swift DLX edition is packed in with a list of new and improved features like music system with Bluetooth integration, USB and speakers, electrically operable power windows for all the four doors, central locking system and powerful fog lamps along with blacked out pillars. The Swift DLX version has also been loaded with several safety features such as engine immobilizer, smart warning indicators and child safety lock. As is the case with every special edition model of cars, the upgrades made are mostly superficial since the mechanical specifications remain unchanged.
The Maruti Swift is driven by a 1197 cc petrol unit which delivers 83 bhp output and a 1248 cc Multijet Diesel engine which produces 74 bhp output. Both of these engines come coupled with a 5 speed manual transmission. The Swift DLX misses out on an automatic transmission option. Talking about the fuel economy, this car is expected to deliver a mileage of around 20 kmpl for the petrol variant and 25 kmpl for the diesel version.
The all new Maruti Suzuki Swift DLX version is based on the LXi/LDi models of the current version of the car. It comes with an introductory price tag of INR 4.54 lakhs (ex-showroom). The diesel variant of the new Swift will be made available at a price of around INR 5.7 lakhs.
