Mercedes Benz Rolls Out India-Made GLC at Reduced Prices
German automobile manufacturer Mercedes Benz has rolled out their latest product the GLC from the company's manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune. This car which is has been made in India has been launched four months after the SUV was launched in India in June. Mercedes Benz GLC was first introduced to the car market in India as CBU (completely built units).

The Mercedes Benz GLC which has been made locally is now available in three variants GLC 220d 4MATIC Style, GLC 220d 4MATIC Sport and GLC 300 4MATIC Sport. With the launch of the GLC from its manufacturing plant in India, Mercedes Benz has added its ninth car to its portfolio of locally made vehicles in India and has made the company the largest locally producing luxury brand in India. The local production of this company includes the E Class, followed by the S Class and C Class at this plant.
Talking about the engine specs, the GLC is powered by a 2,143cc turbocharged diesel engine or a 1,991cc turbocharged petrol unit. While the diesel engine can produce 170 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, the petrol engine has got the capacity to churn out 245 bhp of power output and peak torque of 370 Nm. The engines come coupled with a nine speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and all wheel drive system.

Available to car buyers in the petrol and diesel engine variants, the GLC has now been priced at INR 51.90 lakh for the 300 Sport trim, INR 47.90 lakh for the 220d Style and INR 51.50 lakh for the 220d Sport (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi). The Mercedes Benz GLC Edition 1 SUV was originally available at a price tag of INR 50.7 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
