Nissan-Datsun to hike prices from January
Nissan is one of the most revered brands of automobile manufacturers who operate in India. The company has a portfolio of two brands in India – Nissan and Datsun. Nissan models include Terrano, Sunny Micra, Micra and the all-new GT-R. The Datsun brand encompasses the GO, GO+ and Redi-Go. The company has recently announced a price hike on all of these models with effect from January 2017. According to company sources, this hike is due to the increase in the prices of the inputs needed for manufacturing. All the models will undergo a hike of up to INR 30,000 depending on the variants.
Nissan has cars in almost all market segments in the Indian market. Every car is built to cater to specific market segments. The Micra is a hatchback and Sunny is a sedan while the Terrano is an SUV. The Datsun Go and Redi-Go are compact hatchbacks while the Go+ is an MPV.
The Terrano SUV has rugged and stylish looks and as per the website of the company it is a “go anywhere” car. The interior is stylish as well, and the comfort and safety of the passengers have been taken care of. The inner space is considerably good. Under the hood, the car has a CRDi engine which throws back a considerable amount of power.

The interiors have also got premium amenities to cater to the needs of its occupants. Under the hood, all the variants have a dCi engine, and the transmission is taken care of by a manual gearbox.
The hatchback lineup comprises of two products- one is Micra, and another one is Micra Active. Both have the exterior styling which is trendy. The interiors are good as well and have amenities to suit the needs of the occupants. The boot space is adequate as well. Under the hood, all the variants of Micra Active have petrol engines while the variants of Micra have both petrol and diesel engines which throw back a considerable amount of power ideally suited for Indian roads.
The newly launched GT-R is more like a racing car, is very stylish and has premium features as far as interiors are considered. The engines are also powerful. After the launch of the car, the company inaugurated its first high performance service center in Noida. The facility has the latest equipment imported from Japan to cater to the needs of customers.
The Datsun hatchback also has smart features both for the exterior and the interior. The engine provided is also good to suit the needs of the customers. Datsun has recently started a campaign – “Happy with Datsun” to give free vehicle checkups, discounts on various accessories and exterior wash, etc. The company is also offering a discount to its customers for buying original parts.
