Upcoming Cars Renault Kaptur



The SUV Renault Kaptur is expected to be launched around July to December 2017. The first look of the SUV was shown in Masco Auto Expo held in Russia. By the first look it seems as an upgraded version of the previous Renault Captur. The main attractions of the SUV is its design which appears smooth and flawless, there is a floating roof design along with a compact tail gate. There are also several options in the colour range that one can choose from. The interiors are spacious and comfortable and has all the updated technological features like the multi information display instrument cluster, the piano black finish on the dash board, the 7 inches touch screen infotainment system along with Bluetooth and satellite navigation system which is offered in the base variant.

The specifications of the engine of Kaptur are expected to be similar to that of Renault Duster but with better speed parameters. The Duster has 1598 cc displacement with a 4 cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 104 PS along with a torque of 148 Nm. In the 4 cylinder diesel engine there is a displacement of 1461 cc. There are two power options available like the 85 PS along with a torque of 200 Nm and 110 PS along with a torque of 245 Nm. The Kaptur is expected to have in the petrol version a 5 speed manual transmission and in the diesel version a 6 speed manual transmission. The mileage of the Kaptur is expected to be around 13 kmpl in petrol version and 20 kmpl in diesel version.

The ex showroom price in Delhi is expected to be around Rs 8 lakh to 15 lakh.

The Kaptur seems that it will provide a tough competition to Hyundai Creta, Honda BR-V and Mahindra TUV 300.
